EC Proposes Permission of Hair Dye Substances for Eyelashes

The European Commission (EC) has released a draft amendment to the cosmetics Regulation, specifically proposing the permission of use of several hair dye substances for coloring eyelashes, namely: toluene-2,5-diamine p-aminophenol 2- methylresorcinol tetraaminopyrimidine sulfate hydroxyethyl-p-phenylenediamine sulfate 2-amino-3-hydroxypyridine The Commission has noted that these dyes should only be permitted for professional use, with proper warnings on… read more
