UL recognizes that, in addition to existing regulatory and industry certification programs, there is a need to ensure that products which are part of the internet of things landscape operate as intended and provide the user with the expected outcome.
In 2015 UL acquired the National Analysis Center (NAC). The service portfolio includes interoperability, performance and compatibility testing services. Further, UL offers competitive benchmarking to help engineering and marketing teams evaluate prototypes against the latest commercially available products.
We work with companies to really examine the real life use case and apply scientific rigor to validation of these. Ultimately we tests products the way customers really use them.
