Safety and Performance Testing From One Efficient Source
UL has a firm understanding of what is required to help you undergo testing and get to market quickly with your HVAC/R products. Our fully equipped test facilities and time-tested technical expertise make this possible.
We work seamlessly across all global UL locations to streamline the customer experience. By providing customers with one central UL touchpoint, typically at a localized facility, all necessary testing and certification services – including ENERGY STAR®, DOE, NRCan, AHRI, Gulf Mark (G Mark), IEC, and AQMD NOx testing – are easy to monitor. This approach allows us to optimize lab efficiency, better manage capacity and help our customers swiftly get their products to market.
UL’s extensive technical background and involvement throughout the global market allows us to work with our customers as knowledge leaders. We offer support and guidance regardless of where the customer is in the testing process. Returning customers also benefit from working with the same engineer (when possible) and a team that remains familiar with their unique needs.
Greater Access, Greater Offerings
Though we test to global standards, UL also developed and maintains numerous U.S. and Canadian standards on which the industry relies. When paired with UL’s responsive flexibility and global agility, this expertise allows us to remain customer-centric and constantly aware of industry changes.
UL’s services are offered modularly to fit customer needs and are among the most full-service offerings in the market, with certifications including access to the applicable standards. From our 2018 HVAC/R laboratory renovations in our Northbrook headquarters and recent construction of state of the art combustion laboratories in the USA, Canada and Europe, to becoming a Notified Body for the European Gas Appliance Regulation (Notified Body # 0539) and gaining South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD) approval for NOx testing, UL continues to grow and evolve to keep pace with the market and ensure we always have the capacity and capabilities to meet your needs.
