Green Laboratory Practices Certified hospital facilities are certified for reduced environmental impact. Green Laboratory Practices Certification is a voluntary, multi-attribute environmental certification that indicates a facility’s processes and operating procedures have undergone, exhaustive auditing to demonstrate compliance with stringent third-party environmental performance standards.
The Green Laboratory Practices Certification Standard sets metrics for a wide variety of criteria in some or all of the following categories: environmental policies; usage and specification of equipment and building materials; purchasing and operations; lighting performance and use; cleaning products; consumable supplies; and behavioral policies.
With the Green Laboratory Practices Certification, health care facilities demonstrate their commitment to delivering a healthier space for employees and patients and reducing their impact on the health of the environment.
