This February, over a half-million golf fans will be travelling to Phoenix, AZ, for PGA’s Waste Management Phoenix Open. Many of the PGA Tour’s top players compete at this event every year, but that is not all that makes this tournament a special one. 2016 will be the fourth year that Waste Management will attempt 100% landfill waste diversion, otherwise known as: Zero Waste to Landfill. In 2013, the WMPO hired UL Environment to verify the waste diversion rate, and their goal of zero waste to landfill has been reached each year since.
