The first Preliminary Review comment period has ended. During a teleconference on March 6, UL reviewed comments and incorporated feedback as appropriate for the UL 2900-1 document. Another teleconference took place on March 27 to review comments and incorporate feedback as appropriate for the UL 2900-2-1 (particular requirements for network connectable components of healthcare systems) and UL 2900-2-2 (particular requirements for industrial control systems) documents.
The next step is the Ballot period, when the Standards Technical Panel (STP) will vote and the public can review and comment on the draft document. For UL 2900-1, this began on March 24, 2017, and runs for 45 calendar days. After this period, responses to all germane comments will then be posted in CSDS (csds.ul.com).
If you are an industry stakeholder, researcher, or professionally involved in the cyber sector and would like to participate in the open comment period, please email ULcyber@ul.com for next steps.
