UL and Eaton collaborate to advance cybersecurity for power management technologies
Cybersecurity becomes more important every day across nearly all industries. Eaton’s collaboration with UL is helping to establish measurable cybersecurity criteria for network-connected power management products and systems. This collaboration has already hit three milestones:
- New cybersecurity standards for power management products are in development.
- Eaton’s Power Xpert Dashboard is the first power management product certified to the UL 2900-2-2 standard for cybersecurity in industrial control systems.
- Eaton’s Pittsburgh facility for cybersecurity research and testing became the first lab approved to participate in UL’s Data Acceptance Program for cybersecurity.
UL and Eaton will work with industry, to drive the development of reliable cybersecurity requirements that will help keep manufacturers, their customers, and other stakeholders safe in this increasingly connected world.
