The German Federal Institute for Risk Assessment (BfR) has requested that limits be introduced on the use of aluminum in antiperspirant deodorants and other cosmetics. In its most recent assessment of the dermal intake of aluminum salts from antiperspirants, the Institute reported it found levels of around 10.5 μg.

The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety in Korea has proposed a regulation that aims to specify color ingredients that can be used when manufacturing and importing cosmetic products. The regulation was proposed to correct a mistype in the lead limits of Iron Oxide Yellow, Hydrated Ferric Oxide (CI 77492): 4ppm − 40ppm.
