The first edition of the UL Standard for Software Cybersecurity for Network-Connectable Products, Part 1: General Requirements, UL 2900-1 has been published as an ANSI (American National Standards Institute) standard! Click here to read about it.

In June 2015, UL established a task group to evaluate the complexities and challenges associated with cyber risk and develop an outline of specification from its initial investigation. This outline became the testable technical criteria for the UL 2900 Standard series. A Standards Technical Panel (STP) was assembled to begin drafting the standard, which was published as a national standard for both the U.S. and Canada (ANSI/SCC) in July 2017.
