DESCRIPTION OF ISSUE:
Clarification of the meaning of the first paragraph of Clause 4.3.6, which reads:

Motors are stalled if this is possible during the use of the apparatus by internal or external influences.

APPLICATION GUIDELINE:
The above clause is intended to cover motors that are located in hazardous AC or DC circuits and can cause a fire or electric shock hazard under fault conditions. Motors located in non-hazardous AC or DC circuits that will not result in a fire or shock hazard are not required to be stalled.

The above is considered a clarification of the requirements.
