DESCRIPTION OF ISSUE:
Clarification of the meaning of the first paragraph of Clause 4.3.6, which reads:
Motors are stalled if this is possible during the use of the apparatus by internal or external influences.
The above clause is intended to cover motors that are located in hazardous AC or DC circuits and can cause a fire or electric shock hazard under fault conditions. Motors located in non-hazardous AC or DC circuits that will not result in a fire or shock hazard are not required to be stalled.
The above is considered a clarification of the requirements.
