In conjunction with the Additive Manufacturing Users Group (AMUG), UL is offering our first course from our 3-tiered AM training program, the Foundations of 3D Printing Workshop, to AMUG 2017 conference attendees. This special course offering is scheduled for Friday, March 24 from 8:00am – 12:00pm at the Chicago Hilton.
The Foundations of 3D Printing Workshop is a discussion-oriented session in which participants receive comprehensive introductory knowledge of the 3D printing / AM industry. Covering terms and definitions, software and hardware as well as discussing applications and case studies, participants will begin to understand the benefits of 3D printing in a way that is relevant to your business needs.
Paul Bates, Manager of the UL Additive Manufacturing Center (AMCC) and AMUG VP, will lead the workshop. “We initially offered this at AMUG 2016 and received valuable feedback from the attendees. It’s a great opportunity to once again present this workshop at AMUG and engage the actual users of this technology. Everyone is so passionate about AM. Attendees learn from each other and get more out of the session and discussions,” says Bates.
Following the session, participants may opt to take the online proficiency exam, which is included in the price of the workshop.
